Swapped out electronics to Holmes Hobbies 1700kV sensored motor with Mamba X ESC and a stronger servo (with metal horn). Also put on some metal beadlocks I had from another crawler. Truck is great on 3s with 15t pinion and stock spur. The weight loss is so apparent (compared to Defender); this truck is fantastic so far! Can't wait to add a few other pieces here and there, but so far so good. Well done Traxxas! Which one's the best? So if you want pure crawling performance, good value, I would say the Sport kit right here. So basically you get to put it together yourself you get to do your own shock oils, pick your own pick your own servo it doesn't come with servo and radio and other electronics so you get to pick your own. But the servo they put in is so bad any way that you want to buy your own. And you have a lot of options you don't have to spend a lot of money.
