Jack is a refined and composed undead individual, possessing both gracefulness and patience. He is generally reliable in his efforts to act in the best interest of others. Despite his sound reasoning, Jack's decision-making may come under scrutiny on occasion. While he conducted thorough research on Christmas, he chose to stick with what he and his friends were familiar with when he decided to give Santa Claus a break and fill in for him.

Sally is a slim character with a body made of pale blue fabric, decorated with multiple sewing stitches all over. She has big eyes featuring small black pupils and wears red lipstick. Her hair is a reddish hue and extends to her tailbone, with a hidden sewing needle. Furthermore, it is widely recognized that Sally's interior is filled with autumn leaves.

Dr. Finkelstein is a significant character who also serves as a minor antagonist. A wheelchair-bound mad scientist living in Halloween Town, Finkelstein created Sally and Jewel Finkelstein. In the film, he tries to control and restrict Sally's actions outside of his laboratory while also aiding Jack Skellington in his Christmas venture. Finkelstein becomes too disillusioned with Sally and starts to develop a new creation, eventually disclosed as Jewel.

Originating from Halloween Town, they are a trio of pranksters who acted as henchmen to Oogie Boogie, and were accountable for abducting Santa Claus and creating chaos during Christmas.

Oogie resides in a casino-inspired hideout situated underneath the treehouse of his cohorts, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, located in the outskirts of Halloween Town. Due to his frightful disposition, cannibalistic tendencies, and his competition with the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, Oogie is both dreaded and despised.

The monster is seen briefly during the opening song "This is Halloween". He's under the bed, and is said to have teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!

The Stair Monster is a humanoid creature. He has four clawed limbs, with large hands and feet that look more like hooves. His face is long and wormlike and his eyes are large and yellow.

Mummy Boy has a small stature and is completely covered in white bandages, featuring a solitary eye located on his forehead. Regarding his demeanor, he is an amiable mummy and possesses a delightful sense of humor.

In The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Skeletal Reindeer are reindeer characters portrayed in a skeletal form. Dr. Finkelstein fashioned them to assist Jack in his portrayal of Santa Claus, however, this ultimately leads to a catastrophe.

One of Jack Skellington's eerie Christmas gifts, the Toy Duck, was fabricated by the Vampires of Halloween Town during the "Making Christmas" montage. They sang in unison as they completed the duck's painting.

The Undersea Gal is a female resident of Halloween Town, who appears to be a sea-creature. Her body is green and scaly with webbed hands, while fins adorn her head. She has yellow eyes and blue lips, and sometimes she wears an eye-mask when she emerges from the water. Although often perceived as a grotesque entity, the Undersea Gal lends a hand to the town's inhabitants during the Christmas preparations. Strangely enough, she discovers peculiar items in her lake, including an unidentified severed head.

One of Jack Skellington's sinister Christmas gifts, the vampire Teddy, was crafted by the Corpse Dad, the Wolf Man, and the Devil of Halloween Town during the "Making Christmas" montage.

The vampires made their debut in the song "This is Halloween." Following the festivities, the Mayor proclaimed that they had secured the accolade for the most blood drained in a single night.

The Winged Demon is a diminutive creature with a gray-blue complexion. It has large bat-like wings that are lengthy enough for the demon to move around (though it's unclear if the demon can fly). The demon also possesses a pair of spikes on top of its head and red eyes.

Wolfman, a werewolf and citizen of Halloween Town, is a minor character in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Unlike many other inhabitants of the town, he relishes Halloween and eerie activities. In fact, Wolfman assists Jack in making the holiday season their own.

As part of Jack Skellington's scheme to usurp Christmas, a savage anthropomorphic man-eating plant with the appearance of a wreath was employed, resulting in a calamity in the actual world. Jack ultimately remedied the situation by rescuing Santa Claus to assist him in undoing the harm he had caused.

Zero, a spectral dog with an appearance reminiscent of a traditional ghost, is composed of a white sheet-like material and shares Pluto's basset hound-like drooping ears. His "eyes" are vacant holes in the sheet, while his elongated and slender snout features an upward curving upper jaw. Zero sports a small luminous jack-o-lantern for a nose, similar to Rudolph's famous red nose, and a collar of faded brown hue.
