# Checklist: Turning a Long YouTube Lecture into Study Notes

A routine for 45–90 minute lectures, conference talks and long tutorials. The idea: read the structure before you watch, then rewatch only the parts you cannot explain back without the video.

For steps 2 and 7 I paste the link into \[summarizer.video\](https://summarizer.video/) (I build it), which returns chapters, timestamped key points and the full transcript. Any tool that shows the transcript with timestamps works the same way.
