- Comments: Before I bought this $100 guillotine, I used to cut my papers and boards either with a cutter from amazon, a box cutter with snap-off blades, and even had a brief encounter with a French paring knife with a whetstone. You don't have to buy an expensive guillotine, but a $90 box cutter from Home Depot and a lot of patience will do the job just fine.
