- Notes: Upon our arrival, we unfortunately found that the castle was closed. Despite this setback, we were able to catch a glimpse of the castle's ancient walls and parts that were nearly 2,000 years old. Being on a tight budget, we decided to explore the castle further and see what we could find. We discovered that entrance to the castle was only £3 per person, but a day tour cost £50. The main keep and the moat surrounding it caught our interest, even though the water in the moat was deep enough to drown, it served as a defense mechanism against invaders in the past.

- Notes: We considered visiting Cardiff Castle, but the price of entry was too steep for us as we were on a tight budget. Instead, we decided to explore one of Cardiff's many museums, which luckily had free admission and offered various activities for children due to it being half term in England and Wales.

- Notes: We took a 10-minute stroll to the National Museum of Wales, which also offered free admission, but we encountered some odd characters there. Our main purpose for visiting was to see the fantastic dinosaur exhibition, which Lily absolutely adored. While exploring, we stumbled upon a large pearl and a pyramid turtle, which I found fascinating. The crystal display was my favorite, although I found the butterfly exhibit a bit eerie. It was an incredible experience, and we made a donation to show our appreciation.

- Notes: We didn't find much going on at the Cardiff markets, except for the strong smell of fish. But, if you haven't eaten yet, there are plenty of food options here. Although, Richard didn't want anything as he was already stuffed. However, when I tried a muffin, he changed his mind and we ended up getting some delicious food. We also noticed many men running around trying to get roses for their partners. Some of them looked quite panicked when they couldn't find any.
