I have noticed that grippy socks are frequently mentioned in TikTok videos and various lists. They seem to be a common recommendation for hospital stays, but I also wanted to have my own pair because they are comfortable. I recently purchased a pack of four.
I also got a nice robe, which I ordered from Amazon. I decided to size up to ensure it's loose and comfortable. This robe comes with pockets, which I understand can be quite convenient, especially if you're recovering from a cesarean, as it allows you to carry things without bending over.
For my going home outfit after a cesarean, I chose to be cautious about anything touching the incision. I found a long black dress on Amazon from the brand Huskary. It's plain and simple, but it's a practical choice considering postpartum needs like bleeding and postpartum underwear. Sizing up ensures comfort during the recovery period.
I have button-down nightgowns that I'm hoping to wear during the cesarean procedure. These nightgowns are from a brand that I'm not sure how to pronounce, but they're designed with convenience in mind. One of them buttons down in the back, which is helpful for medical checks on the incision area. Additionally, these nightgowns can also serve as nursing nightgowns, offering practicality during the postpartum period.
I find these sports bra nursing bras incredibly comfortable to wear. The snaps are super easy to use and secure, and they also have hooks in the back that allow for adjustment, whether I need more or less room. For my hospital stay, I think I'll bring along two of these nursing bras that I really like. Comfort and ease of use are definitely important to me during this time.
I've packed a sleeping mask, and what I appreciate about this one is that it has these circles that don't rest directly on my eyes. It's kind of lifted, and this is great for me because I'm sensitive to pressure on my eyes when sleeping. However, I'm also sensitive to light, so I thought it would be nice to have in the hospital to block out any unwanted light and help me sleep better.

I decided to get this item, which I know is great for both types of delivery. For vaginal deliveries, they also offer Frida Mom ice packs that you can crack for use as pads, along with Tux cooling pads and a Dermoplast spray to support the healing process. It's good to have these options available for postpartum care.
For C-section recovery, I found these silicone scar patches that are flexible, transparent, and waterproof to promote healthy scar formation. They're from Frida Mom, and I purchased them on Amazon.
I also got the Freedom Mom High Waist C-section disposable underwear. These briefs go up higher, so they don't sit on your incision, which I think is a smart choice for comfort during recovery. The pack includes eight disposable underwear, making it convenient to use and dispose of as needed.
I've also got the Always Discreet Boutique adult diapers, which are high-waisted to avoid putting pressure on the incision area.

I've also included shower shoes in my hospital bag because I've heard it's nice to have a pair when using the hospital shower facilities. It's a small but practical addition for added comfort and hygiene during the stay.
I thought it would be a good choice considering everything that happens after giving birth, like postpartum bleeding. A dark-colored towel just seemed like the way to go for post-shower use.

I thought it would be a smart idea to bring 10-foot phone chargers because the outlets in hospital rooms tend to be far away from the bed.
I've included a card reader for my camera in my hospital bag. I have a nice camera that I'd like to use to take high-quality photos. While iPhones take great photos, I prefer my actual camera. This card reader allows me to easily transfer photos from my camera to my phone, making it convenient to share them with family and friends.

I've got this nice bag from Amazon, and it's a good size that fits everything quite well. I had all of these items pre-packed in it. However, the towel takes up quite a bit of space, so I'm considering moving it to the suitcase I've packed for the baby girl.
