Gateron Oil King
- Mechanical
- Acrylic
- Surface Mount
Gateron Oil King switches are some of the best stock switches I've had the pleasure of trying. They were released this year and feature a long pole, so there's no concern about north-facing interference. It's just a really smooth switch, and I've enjoyed using it a lot.
Gazzew Boba U4T
- Mechanical
- Plastic
- PCB Mount
The first time I got my hands on the Boba U4T switches, I was blown away. They quickly became one of my favorite tactile switches, with a satisfying bump that just hits differently. Then there was the DIY guest 67 keyboard kit — it was an offer I couldn't refuse. Despite the price hike on Taobao, I snagged one, and pairing it with the Gateron Oil Kings resulted in an auditory experience that's hard to believe comes from a budget kit. In July, I took on a unique project: building a bongo cat keyboard. I let Instagram followers make every decision during the build process. Around that time, I also started reacting to your custom keyboards, which was a whole new way to engage with the community's creativity.
Gateron Azure Dragon
- Mechanical
- Nylon
- Plastic
- Plug-In Mount
I acquired my third premium keyboard, the Windex 98, and coupled it with the Azzurri Dragons switches — what a stellar combination! The pairing simply made the keyboard sound incredibly nice. It was my first time trying out a Windex board, and the craftsmanship really blew me away. However, I didn't end up using it as my daily driver because it occupied a bit too much real estate on my desk, and as a Valorant player, I need all the mouse space I can get.
Gateron CJ
- Mechanical
- POM material
- Surface Mount
CJ's maximum flex on the keyboard was a game-changer for me, providing a superb typing experience that aesthetically pleases every time I glance at it. Not only does it look stunning, but it also fits my desk space perfectly. It successfully took over as my main keyboard, dethroning the Glacier 80.
TTC Tiger King
- Mechanical
- Copper
- PCB Mount
The number five spot goes to the TTC Tiger switches. Yes, they're pretty pricey, but they're my go-to for the spacebars on all my keyboards. They produce this incredibly satisfying sound that's just perfect right out of the box, no lubing required. What's really impressive is the lack of stem wobble, which just elevates the quality feel to the peak. It's one of those small details that make a big difference in the daily use of a keyboard.
