Export and compare an actual-size proof
Export using the format and color requirements of the selected printer, then inspect the output rather than only the editor preview. Compare the PDF at actual size with the source, check image quality and embedded fonts, and order a physical proof if the service offers one. Save the approved proof with the trim, page count and edition information, so later revisions do not silently invalidate the spine or layout.
