The best gluten free patisserie boulangerie (maybe in the world?)

One of the world’s best modern art collections, in one of the world’s best buildings. Nic’s favourite is the piano in the soundproof room.

1-star restaurant by Alain Ducasse, and an oldschool French bistro in every way. All the food is excellent, and a cheap lunch menu that’s great for a post-gallery visit.

It’s one of the tourist traps, but absolutely worth the visit. The lines are epic though, so get there between 8am and 9am - at least an hour before opening. It’s worth the wait, and if it’s a hot day it’s nice and cool.

A great restaurant in Saint Germain that makes a nice change from bistros or small restaurants. Has a big internal courtyard that’s super nice, and the service and food are excellent.

Just the best food hall ever. Good booze selection too.

1-star restaurant a couple blocks from the Eiffel Tower. A very modern French vibe, lots of foams and big plates with small servings. Excellent food though, and absolutely worth a visit fo a lunch prixe fixe.

One of the nicer and more chilled bistros around Saint Germain. Apparently Hemingway hung out here, but it’s not a tourist trap. A great salad menu (rare in bistros), and an exceptional looking burger.

Great gardens without being overly packed with tourists. A good 2km running loop around the perimeter, or check out the fountain in the middle to sail a model sailboat.

Street just near the Eiffel Tower with a bunch of market stalls and cafes. Excellent place to grab a salad or sandwich (and a madeleine) and head for lunch in the park.

One of the better coffee’s we’ve found - and the best in Saint Germain.

Nice little bistro opposite Noglu. The coffee is acceptable, and they have a nice petite dejeuner.

Bring the platinum card if you actually plan on doing any shopping, but this is worth a visit to check out the art nouveau building. Definitely the most impressive department store you’ll visit.

Hard not to walk through at some point during a Paris visit, but a super nice garden that’s worth a flaneur.

Good bistro with slightly more international vibes than the standard Saint Germain bistro. Not cheap, but good quality and service.

Just a local salad bar (you’ll need your Francaise for ordering) but really good quality and a good place to grab a tasty lunch to eat in the Luxembourg Gardens.

Another tourist place, but one that isn’t crawling with tourists. An impressive building with Foucalt's pendulum, plus dead bro's Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Emile Zola, Dumas, Marie Curie.

Seems to be a bit of a local hipster hangout, but it’s got a good vibe, is in a great spot, and has excellent burger & frites.

A nice market street for a flaneur - very student area, and excellent crepes sold from multiple holes-in-the-wall.

Small corner bistro opposite the university - so an equal mix of tourists and students. It’s got an excellent club sandwich, and a substantial salad menu.

Nice enough for a wander, but the shops are the same as every other European high street, and it's pretty busy on weekends.
