    Once you are 16 years old, you are eligible to apply for a driver's license. To do this, contact the Ministry of Transportation DriveTest center and provide all the necessary documents.

  • 2 - Explore the Demerit Point System

    Ontario uses a Demerit Point System to monitor driving records. It means that you can lose your driver's license if you collect a certain number of demerit points.   • 3 - Get G1 and G2 licenses

    Ontario has a law that you must first obtain G1 and G2 licenses. Each license has entrance tests and requirements. After using the G1 for 8-12 months, you are eligible to take the exam to obtain a G2 license.

  • 4 - Take the second road test and get a G license

    Possession of a G2 license lasts for 1 year. After that, you'll pass the second road test and receive a G license with all driving privileges.
