Love on the Brain follows a single point of view, focusing on the protagonist who receives an offer to lead a neuro-engineering project at NASA, which is her ultimate dream. However, there's a twist: she has to work alongside her nemesis. It's an enemies-to-lovers workplace romance, but it's not the typical "I hate you so much" dynamic.

I highly recommend the first book in the Detective Inspector Helen Gray series. It can reignite your passion for reading. Each installment can be read independently, as they provide introductions and recaps of past events. This seventh book instantly captivated me with its short chapters, some only one page long, each ending with a hook that keeps you reading. In this gripping story, Detective Inspector Helen Grace investigates a mysterious body found on the road, initially thought to be an accident but soon revealed as a murder. As more killings occur, the pieces start to connect, and the race is on to catch the killer within a single day. What kept me engrossed was the clever use of multiple perspectives, including glimpses into the mind of the killer, allowing for a captivating comparison of the detective's progress and the killer's intentions. The writing style is superb, leaving me eager to collect the rest of the series.
In my opinion, it's incredibly intriguing. However, some people argue that it lacks a strong plot and relies solely on the romance to keep readers engaged.
The story unfolds through a dual point of view, with the male character's perspective set six years in the past, due to a significant event that took place during that time. The mystery surrounding this event is gradually revealed towards the end of the book, leaving readers constantly trying to piece together what happened. Meanwhile, the female character's perspective keeps the reader captivated with the ongoing romance.
I must admit, the emotional impact of this book was profound. It left me feeling hurt—deeply and intensely.
It probably comes as no surprise that this book is featured in countless "books to get you out of a reading slump" videos on BookTube. It has garnered popularity and high ratings for a reason. Let me tell you, the way the plot twist was executed… It was simply brilliant.

This book centers around a girl whose boyfriend has moved out, leaving her in need of a roommate. Enter the roommate, who happens to be a porn star. Not only does he show her the ropes in the bedroom, but she also helps him navigate the challenges of the porn industry. This book is also on the shorter side, allowing you to breeze through it quickly.
I can't believe I forgot to mention this incredible series in my previous videos (check my yt channel!). It's called the "Good Girl's Guide to Murder" series, and I can't stress enough how phenomenal it is. This trilogy is so captivating that you'll fly through the books. It has become one of my all-time favorite series, and I have a deep emotional connection to it. I can't imagine my reading journey without it. Honestly, this series deserves endless praise and should continue forever.
The series delves into the common issue of men lacking knowledge or having inflated egos when it comes to satisfying women. It emphasizes the idea of women taking the lead in teaching their partners how to please them properly. While the books in the series are interconnected, they can be enjoyed individually.
It's worth noting that the books in this series are relatively short, typically around 80 pages each. This shorter format allows for quick and concise storytelling without compromising on the depth of the connection between the characters.
What I enjoyed about this book was the easy-to-read writing style. It was enjoyable, and while it's not a book I frequently think about, I had fun reading it. The story flowed well, and the unanswered questions kept me engaged. It's a great choice for overcoming a reading slump because it's an effortless and entertaining read. Personally, I rated it three and a half stars. It was good, but it didn't captivate me like some other books. However, it was still enjoyable and managed to reignite my love for reading. I ended up reading it in just a week because it was so entertaining.
The writing was beautifully crafted and effortlessly readable. However, it's worth noting that the book is quite substantial in size. If you're someone who finds it challenging to stay engaged with lengthier reads, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
This book reminded me why I fell in love with romance in the first place. Although I only recently delved into the genre, previously being a fan of mysteries and thrillers, this book captivated me entirely. I eagerly looked forward to reading it at the end of each day, and if I didn't have time during the day, I made sure to carve out time for it. Its grip on me was so strong that I impulsively ordered the second book in the series, "Terms and Conditions." Some readers may have a preference between the two, but I simply knew I wanted to continue exploring the author's remarkable writing style.
I highly, highly recommend this book. I mean it. In every single book recommendation video I've come across, without fail, this book deserves a spot. It's mind-boggling to me that I haven't heard a single person talk about it or encountered anyone who has actually read it. But here's the thing, it's a hidden gem.
I won't spoil the ending for you, but let me just say, it's pure gold. This book easily earns a solid five-star rating from me.
Next up on my reading list is "The Kiss Quotient." It took me a while to figure out how to express my thoughts on this book, but here's what I really appreciated about it. The main character, who happens to be a woman on the autism spectrum, has Asperger's syndrome. As someone on the spectrum myself, I found it truly fascinating to delve into a book that explores this aspect and offers representation. The portrayal was exceptionally well done.
The book has a charming quality to it, as the protagonist lives above a bookstore and embarks on a joint renovation project with her friend. It's worth noting that this particular story leans more towards the sweet and tender side, offering a milder reading experience.
I devoured this book while I was in Greece, finishing it in just a day, and my mom did the same. It follows a group of women who embark on a weekend getaway to celebrate their friend's upcoming wedding. The unique aspect of this book is that it presents the story from the perspectives of all five girls, unveiling their individual secrets and the complex web that intertwines them. It's an enthralling and intense narrative that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The next series I want to mention is the Mind Series. You might have already heard a lot about it, as it has gained popularity. This series revolves around the dynamic between a serial killer and an FBI agent who unknowingly fall in love. The twist is that she knows he's an FBI agent investigating the case, while he is unaware of her true identity as the serial killer. This creates intense conflict and challenges for both of them.
If you have an interest in crime stories and enjoy the combination of crime and romance, this series will likely captivate you. It offers a thrilling blend of suspense, romance, and drama. Despite the intriguing storyline, the books in this series are relatively short, typically around 120 to 140 pages each. If you're inclined to dive into the entire series, you can even purchase a bundle that includes all six books.
"The Death of an Outsider" is part of the Hamish Macbeth series, which I believe was written in the 80s. There are numerous books in this series, possibly over 30. Each book follows the pattern of starting with "Death of…" and in this case, it's "The Death of an Outsider." This is the first book I've read in the Hamish Macbeth series, and it stood out to me due to its short length and large font, making it an enjoyable and easy read.
Is "The Love Hypothesis" another wildly popular romance book? Yes, indeed. In fact, it was the very first romance book I ever picked up. I have a video on it, although it's quite an old one, where I tried out reading different genres. This book was everywhere on BookTube, Book Talk, and Bookstagram. It seemed like everyone was recommending it to me, so I thought, why not? I ordered it and dove right in.
I must say, my tastes have evolved since then, but let's take a moment to appreciate this book. It had me completely hooked. I think I finished it in just three days. It's worth noting that "The Love Hypothesis" originated as a Wattpad book, originally fanfiction of some sort—I can't recall the specifics, but do keep that in mind. What I loved about this book is that there's so much happening beyond the central romance. These additional elements contribute to the overall plot and make it absolutely perfect.
To fully appreciate and understand this book, it's necessary to read the first book in the series. Interestingly, many people prefer "The Fine Print" over "Terms and Conditions," but I had the opposite experience. I can't quite explain why, but I connected more with this second installment.
"Terms and Conditions" follows the grumpy sunshine trope, where the hero is the boss of the heroine. It's a marriage of convenience story, and as someone who loves both fake dating and marriage of convenience tropes, this book resonated with me on multiple levels. I highly recommend it.
The story kicks off with a compelling scenario where the heroine finds herself in a stranded situation, and the hero comes to her rescue. This intriguing beginning immediately piques your curiosity, leaving you eager to discover more about the characters and their connection.
Let me tell you, this is a fantastic series. The protagonist is a selective inspector named Helen Grays, and every book in the series has been mind-blowing. The cases they investigate feel like you're watching an incredibly intense TV show. I devoured this book quickly, just like the first one, despite their substantial length. The only downside is that they end too soon because they are so engaging. What makes it even more interesting is that the story is told from a third-person perspective, but each chapter presents a different character's point of view. You might encounter a witness, a victim, a killer, or even an abductor, depending on the case. Additionally, you get insights from various police officers and detectives, adding depth to the narrative.
I've been discussing this book quite a bit recently, especially since I read it during my readathon, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. I had heard numerous praises for it, but I initially thought it would be just alright. However, once I delved into its pages, I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly captivating it was.
This book has left a strong impression on me, and I'm excited to delve further into the series. If you're looking for a captivating read with a touch of steaminess and the allure of the mafia, this book is definitely worth your attention.
