Its feel and tackiness are both things I love. Holding this grip, I get the sensation of being closely connected to the shaft, which significantly improves my control over the club.

This grip is exceptionally tacky, possibly one of the most tacky grips I've come across. It's a fantastic grip that I really appreciate. Its design is straightforward and basic, but it feels incredibly solid and dependable when held.

This grip is truly fantastic. When I hold it, I feel like I'm right on the shaft with a comfortable cushioning and a high level of tackiness. This unique combination gives me exceptional control over the club. Surprisingly, I can distinctly feel the club in my hands while using this grip, and that's something I really love about it.
Less Tapered Standard Winn Grip

This grip has a significant build-up in a particular area. If you struggle with hooking the ball or tend to have a lot of club face rotation due to excessive hand movement, a grip like this could be beneficial. The built-up section in this area helps stabilize your hands and minimize unnecessary movement.

It's surprising to me that I've never played with this grips before, even though I've felt them in shops and dismissed them. However, when I actually tried them out, it was a completely different story. When using it, I felt nothing but the club in my hands. It provided exceptional control and an overall great experience. So, without a doubt, this is the clear winner for me.
Align Grip Super Stroke
- Golf Pride
- Soft Rubber
- Not My Favorite
I'm not a fan of the Align grip by Golf Pride. Those alignment lines don't feel comfortable in my hands. Even the Super Stroke grip, which I had high hopes for, didn't meet my expectations. While it feels good, I'm unsure if it has the Align feature, but it does have a seam that serves a similar purpose. Honestly, I just don't like it, and I'm sorry for the negative feedback.
ST+ 2 Hybrid Standard Grip
- Lamkin
- Rubber
- Not My Favorite
The Lamkin grip I tried isn't an aligned grip, and I don't like it. The primary reason is that my thumb encounters a groove on the grip, and I really dislike the feeling of my thumb or fingers being on a line or groove. So, unfortunately, this one is out for me.
Sonar+ Wrap Calibrate
- Lamkin
- Rubber
- Not My Favorite
The Sonar Wrap grip with the Calibrate feature has an alignment line, and once again, it's not to my liking. Although I do appreciate the grip's overall feel, it includes a ridge that some people might enjoy, but it's not something I prefer. As always, this is just a matter of personal preference.
CP2 Wrap Control Core
- Golf Pride
- Rubber
- Not My Favorite
The Golf Pride CP2 Wrap with the Control Core is also not a grip I prefer. This time, I can feel a line on it due to the control core feature, and I don't want to experience that sensation. This feeling of lines and grooves is present on both hands, and it's just not something I find appealing.
Crossline 360 Standard
- Lamkin
- Rubber
- Not My Favorite
I had anticipated liking the Lamkin Crossline grip because it has a somewhat old-school and core-like feel to it. However, it turns out to be just okay for me. There's a slight problem where my thumb tends to rub against the grip's surface, and even flipping it over doesn't entirely solve the issue as my fingers then encounter the same problem. All in all, it's not my top pick; I simply don't find it to be my favorite grip.
Velvet Plus4
- Golf Pride
- Rubber Blend
- Not My Favorite
I had high hopes for this grip, but it turned out to be just okay. It didn't impress me as much as some of the other options I've tried. There isn't much negativity to it, except for a minor issue where my finger would experience some rubbing.
Sonar
- Lamkin
- Genesis Material
- Not My Favorite
I used to play with this grip and appreciated its tackiness, but it didn't perform as well as some of the other options I've explored.
