Warumpi Band
The Warumpi Band is the literal meaning of "diamonds in the dirt". it always amazes me when talented people meet in the most unexpected places. The unexpected place in this setting is Papunya, a town of 258 situated in the middle of absolutely no where in central-ish Australia. The lyrics represent what some might call the plight of the indigenous people while maintaining a vibe devoid of any resentment. RIP George Burarrwanga.
