Maleficent is a fictional character from the Disney animated movie "Sleeping Beauty." She is the main antagonist of the film and one of the most iconic villains in Disney history.
Maleficent is depicted as a powerful and malevolent fairy, who is offended when she is not invited to the christening of Princess Aurora. In retaliation, she places a curse on the newborn princess, proclaiming that she will prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die on her sixteenth birthday. Maleficent is shown to be cunning, manipulative, and unrelenting in her quest to bring about the downfall of Princess Aurora and the kingdom.
