Naruto Uzumaki is a member of the Uzumaki clan and a shinobi from Konohagakure. From the day he was born, he was made into the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails, leading him to be ostracized by many in Konoha during his childhood. Despite this, Naruto persevered and became a member of Team Kakashi, working tirelessly to gain recognition from his village and fulfill his dream of becoming Hokage. Through numerous trials and tribulations, Naruto developed into a skilled ninja, earning him the title of Hero of the Hidden Leaf by the people of his village and eventually, the world. His contribution as a key player in the Fourth Shinobi World War ultimately led to him achieving his dream and being appointed as the Seventh Hokage of Konohagakure.

Sasuke Uchiha, a member of Konohagakure's Uchiha clan, is among the few who survived the clan's massacre by his elder brother, Itachi. Sasuke vowed to avenge his family's death by killing Itachi and was assigned to Team 7 as a ninja. He started honing his skills through friendly competition with his best friend and rival, Naruto Uzumaki. However, Sasuke became unsatisfied with his progress and left Konoha to gain the power necessary to carry out his revenge. His quest for vengeance led him down a path of increasing irrationality, isolation, and criminal activity. Eventually, Sasuke learned the truth about his brother's sacrifice and played a crucial role in ending the Fourth Shinobi World War. Naruto helped Sasuke redeem himself, prompting him to return to Konoha and dedicate his life to protecting the village and its inhabitants. He earned the nickname "Supporting Kage" (Sasaukage) for his contributions.

A kunoichi named Sakura Uchiha (née Haruno) hails from Konohagakure. When she joined Team 7, Sakura discovered that she was not yet capable of fulfilling her duties as a shinobi. She overcame this deficiency by training under the tutelage of the legendary Sannin Tsunade, and subsequently, she rose to prominence as one of the world's most exceptional medical-nin.

Kakashi Hatake, a member of Konohagakure's Hatake clan, is known as Kakashi of the Sharingan due to his exceptional ninja skills. Despite his aversion to taking on responsibility, he is highly respected by his peers and is frequently sought out for guidance and leadership. As a mentor to his Team 7 students, Kakashi stresses the importance of teamwork, a lesson he learned from his childhood friend Obito Uchiha, who also bestowed upon him the powerful Sharingan. Following the Fourth Shinobi World War, Kakashi is appointed as the Sixth Hokage of Konoha, earning the title of Sixth Fire Shadow.

Boruto Uzumaki, a member of Konohagakure's Uzumaki clan, has lineage connections to the Hyūga clan through his mother. At first, he harbored feelings of resentment towards his father for neglecting him after taking on the role of Hokage. However, over time, Boruto learned to appreciate his father's duties and the responsibilities that come with the position. Despite this, he is determined to pursue his own path as a shinobi under the guidance of his mentor.

Sarada Uchiha is a skilled female ninja from Konohagakure's Uchiha clan, holding the rank of chūnin. Having grown up without the presence of her father, she experiences an identity crisis and struggles to find her place in the world. However, her encounter with Naruto Uzumaki and her subsequent journey allow her to realize that her identity is shaped by her relationships with others. As a member of Team Konohamaru, she strives to become Hokage one day, hoping to forge connections with as many people as possible.

Mitsuki is a humanoid entity produced as a partial copy of Orochimaru, a prominent figure in the Naruto universe. He migrates to Konohagakure to verify whether or not Boruto Uzumaki is his destined partner, known as his "sun." After arriving in the village, Mitsuki trains to become a shinobi and is ultimately placed on Team Konohamaru.

Sarutobi Konohamaru, a member of Konohagakure's Sarutobi clan, is a skilled ninja who ascends to the rank of jōnin. He subsequently takes on the role of a genin team leader, mentoring young ninjas. Inspired by his hero, Naruto Uzumaki, Konohamaru aspires to become Hokage and lead the village someday.

Shikamaru Nara belongs to the Nara clan of Konohagakure and is a skilled shinobi. Despite his inherent laziness, Shikamaru possesses exceptional intelligence that helps him emerge victorious in battles. While the resulting responsibilities from his successes often annoy him, he willingly takes them on to serve his comrades in Team Asuma and to prove himself to past and future generations.

Chōji Akimichi is a member of the Akimichi clan in Konohagakure. Despite feeling self-conscious about his weight, Chōji is a devoted friend, particularly to his fellow members in Team Asuma.

Ino Yamanaka is a kunoichi from Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan and is a member of the current generation's Ino-Shika-Chō trio, along with her teammates from Team Asuma.

Asuma Sarutobi, a jōnin from Konohagakure's Sarutobi clan and a former member of the Twelve Guardian Ninja, served as the leader of Team 10. The team comprised of Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Chōji Akimichi.

Hinata Uzumaki, previously known as Hinata Hyūga, is a female ninja from the village of Konohagakure. Originally the successor of the Hyūga clan, she was later stripped of her title as the clan leader due to being considered unsuitable for the role. Nevertheless, Hinata didn't give up and took inspiration from Naruto Uzumaki, whom she observed closely. As a member of Team 8, she aimed to improve herself and become stronger gradually. After a few years following the Fourth Shinobi World War, Hinata married Naruto and joined the Uzumaki clan.

Kiba Inuzuka, a ninja from the Inuzuka clan of Konohagakure, is part of Team Kurenai. Despite his sometimes arrogant and impulsive behavior, Kiba is a fiercely loyal comrade who will go to great lengths to protect his friends. Accompanied by his trusted dog partner, Akamaru, Kiba is always ready to jump into action.

Akamaru, a ninken or ninja dog, belongs to the Inuzuka clan of Konohagakure. He is the trusted partner, best friend, and constant companion of Kiba Inuzuka, and also a valuable member of Team Kurenai.

Shino Aburame is a member of the Aburame clan, a group of shinobi from Konohagakure. He is a reserved individual who can come off as strange to some, but he is an important member of Team Kurenai and makes great use of his clan's insect-based techniques. In more recent years, Shino has taken on the role of an Academy teacher.

Kurenai Sarutobi, also known as Kurenai Yūhi before her marriage, is a member of the Sarutobi clan in Konohagakure. As a skilled kunoichi, she served as the jōnin leader of Team 8 during her active duty years.

Rock Lee belongs to Konohagakure's Lee clan and serves as a member of Team Guy. While most shinobi rely on ninjutsu or genjutsu, Lee lacked the necessary skills in these areas. Nevertheless, he compensates for his deficiencies by undergoing specialized taijutsu training from Might Guy, which makes him an exceptional master of this art even while still a genin.

Neji Hyūga (日向ネジ, Hyūga Neji) hailed from Konohagakure's Hyūga clan, and was widely regarded as a prodigy, even among his talented kin. However, he was born into the clan's branch house, and thus was bound to serve the main house regardless of his exceptional abilities. This fatalistic view of life led him to believe that destiny was predetermined and unchangeable. However, through his experiences with Naruto Uzumaki, who refused to be held back by such beliefs, Neji learned that one's fate was ultimately their own choice. As a member of Team Guy, Neji sought the strength to shape his own future and protect those he held dear, and ultimately gave his life to defend Naruto, who had taught him the importance of free will.

A member of Team Guy, Tenten (テンテン) is a kunoichi from Konohagakure who aspired to be like the legendary Sannin Tsunade. However, she soon realized that her chakra control was insufficient to become a medical-nin. Nevertheless, Tenten refused to give up on her dream of becoming a powerful kunoichi, focusing instead on honing her skills in weaponry and fūinjutsu.

Guy is a jōnin of Konohagakure who excels in taijutsu and serves as the mentor of Team Guy.

Baki is a Suna-nin who wears the customary attire consisting of a flak jacket and forehead protector. He is quite tall and has two unique red markings on the right side of his face (also visible on the left side in the anime), which are the only visible part of his head. His turban-like headgear covers the rest of his head, with a sheet hanging from it on the left side of his face.

Gaara, a shinobi of Sunagakure, became the jinchūriki of the One-Tailed Shukaku even before he was born, which made the villagers of Suna perceive him as a monster. This lack of acceptance led to his isolation, causing Gaara to grow up with a deep hatred for the world and becoming focused solely on his own survival, resorting to killing those he encountered to give his life meaning. However, after being defeated by Naruto Uzumaki, another jinchūriki who found strength in his bonds with others, Gaara starts to change. He decides to emulate Naruto's behavior and eventually becomes the Fifth Kazekage of Suna, also known as the "Fifth Wind Shadow." His newfound position allows him to protect the village and all its inhabitants, working to dispel the fears and stigma he once cast on them.

Kankurō, a shinobi from Sunagakure, is the second oldest of the Three Sand Siblings. Although he was initially afraid of his younger brother, Kankurō eventually began to support him and his aspiration to become the Kazekage, a position previously held by their father. He ultimately became one of Gaara's closest defenders, advisors, and protectors.

Temari Nara, a former kunoichi of Sunagakure's Kazekage clan, marries Shikamaru Nara and joins the Nara clan. She then moves to Konohagakure and becomes a kunoichi for the village.

Shikadai Nara, the heir to the Nara clan, is a chūnin from Konohagakure. He is a part of Team 10, along with Chōchō Akimichi and Inojin Yamanaka, and together they form the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio.

Chōchō Akimichi is a kunoichi from Konohagakure and a member of the Akimichi clan. Along with her team-mates Inojin Yamanaka and Shikadai Nara, she represents the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio.

Inojin Yamanaka belongs to Konohagakure's Yamanaka clan and is a genin. He is part of the seventeenth generation of the Ino–Shika–Chō trio, along with his team-mates Chōchō Akimichi and Shikadai Nara.

Similar to Naruto during his academy days, Moegi and other members of the Konohamaru Ninja Squad also wear goggles. She has orange hair, tied into two large pigtails using red elastics, and a perpetual blush on her cheeks. During Part I, she wears a red tank-top over a pink t-shirt, grey pants, and traditional ninja sandals. In Part II, she dons a Konohagakure forehead protector and a sleeveless purple vest over a violet t-shirt, along with a layered skirt and mid-thigh boots.

Sumire Kakei, originally known as Sumire Shigaraki (Shigaraki Sumire), is a kunoichi belonging to Konohagakure's Scientific Ninja Weapons Team. She was previously a member of Team 15.

Namida Suzumeno (雀乃なみだ, Suzumeno Namida) is a member of Team 15 and a genin from Konohagakure.

With average height and fair skin, Wasabi is a girl who has short, spiky brown hair and green eyes with cat-like pupils. She also has pronounced canine teeth and wears a light green, sleeveless hoodie shirt that is cropped, along with puffy green shorts and a mesh attire underneath. Wasabi also has a cat tail attached to her waist by the belt loops of her shorts. Upon graduating, she is seen wearing a dark green forehead protector.

Tsubaki Kurogane (鉄ツバキ, Kurogane Tsubaki) is a samurai hailing from the Land of Iron and the most recent apprentice of Mifune. She is currently enrolled in Konohagakure as an exchange student and serves as a member of the genin squad, Team 15.

Hanabi has long black hair that extends to the middle of her back, along with long bangs parted in the middle, and a single strand of hair that falls across her face. Her white eyes are large, which is common among members of her clan, and in the anime, they have a hint of lilac. She takes after her father in appearance. During Part I, Hanabi wore a blue v-neck shirt without sleeves, with mesh armor underneath, blue shorts, and sandals.

Metal is a respectful and honorable young man who speaks without using contractions in his words, a habit he has picked up from his father, Rock Lee. He deeply respects his father and Lee's sensei, Might Guy. Similar to his father, he is a dedicated shinobi who trains rigorously every day, but he also suffers from stage fright when performing in front of large crowds. However, he has learned to cope with his anxiety and perform well despite it. Metal also appears to be well-read and knowledgeable, particularly about the current Kage, though interestingly, he is unaware of Naruto's strength.

Iwabee Yuino (結乃イワベエ, Yuino Iwabee) is a genin from Konohagakure who had consistently demonstrated excellence throughout his time at the Academy. However, due to his poor academic test scores, he was held back several times. He is currently part of Team 5, together with Metal Lee and Denki Kaminarimon.

Denki Kaminarimon, a classmate of Boruto Uzumaki, is a Chunin rank shinobi from Konohagakure and the son of Ereki Kaminarimon, the president of the Kaminarimon company that created the Thunder Train. As the heir of the company, Denki has a lot of responsibilities to shoulder.

Udon Ise is a Shinobi hailing from Konohagakure, where he serves as the captain of Team 5 in Boruto: The Next Generation. He was a member of the Konohamaru Gang and can also be recognized from the first two seasons of Naruto as the guy who frequently has a snort around his right nostril.

Zabuza Momochi, also known as the Demon of the Hidden Mist (Kirigakure no Kijin), was a missing-nin from the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist in Kirigakure.

Haku (白) hailed from the Land of Water and was a member of the Yuki clan. As an orphan, he trained under Zabuza Momochi and became a shinobi. Eventually, he joined forces with Zabuza and became a Mercenary Ninja.

Orochimaru, also known as the Great Snake Sannin, is a legendary ninja from Konohagakure. He has an insatiable desire to uncover all of the world's secrets and seeks immortality in order to live long enough to achieve his goal. However, when he was caught conducting unethical experiments on his fellow villagers, he left Konoha to avoid persecution. For many years, he sought revenge on the village and aimed to demonstrate what he had learned. Despite seemingly dying several times in pursuit of his goals, he eventually realized the flaws in his approach thanks to his former associate, Kabuto Yakushi. As a result, he began monitoring the actions of his former apprentice, Sasuke Uchiha.
