I'm trying to decide between the RTR version of this popular RC crawler and the new assembly kit. These are not the cheapest guitars on the market, but there is plenty of evidence to show that buying a slightly more expensive (but still reasonably affordable) guitar pays off in both sound quality and likelihood of wanting to pick up your guitar and play. And wanting to play the guitar is an important part of pushing through that initial learning curve. These guitars are nearer to the cheap end of the market, but the step up in quality for entry level guitars if huge.  Most beginners will be very hard to distinguish from much higher priced models, and will be able play these for years without feeling like they have to upgrade.

Cities Skylines has recently seen a big jump in new players thanks to an awesome deal on Humble Bundle (unfortunately now finished).
