Definitely check out the famous Victoria Peak to snap an iconic picture of the Hong Kong / Kowloon skyline.
You can either drive up in a car or via public transport (double-decker bus or green mini bus #1 from Central IFC bus stop to Victoria Peak) ORRRR you can hike up via the Morning trail off Conduit Road (an easy, paved 30-45 min hike up)
I personally enjoy the view at night when the city lights are all lit up! Grab your besties and ice cream and drool over the magnificent view.
I've been up there so many times and I feel every time is just so special. Careful of giant crowds during peak hours of course. I'd recommend an early morning or late night visit to avoid those photobombs.
Speaking of photobombs, instead of people bombing your photos, the clouds are also very notorious for blocking out the entire view! So check the weather before you hike up into those rolling clouds especially during the summer/rainy months.
A personal list of places in Hong Kong I recommend all my family and friends to check out if it's their first time in my hometown! Whether it's only just one day or a week, pick and choose which places pique your interests and go for it. Happy exploring! Also, check out my next list, Places to EAT in Hong Kong, coming soon. Enjoy!
