Klondike Pete, the mascot for the cereal, was a prospector with a beard and a mule named Thorndike. He searched for gold. The cereal originally started as Ranger Joe Rice Honnies and Ranger Joe Wheat Honnies in 1939.

"Sunny Jim" refers to two different characters in advertising and branding: (1) a cartoon character used to advertise Force cereal, the first successful wheat flake, and (2) a brand of peanut butter made in Seattle. The name has also been used as a way to address or refer to men named James.

Chip the Wolf (initially known as The Howler) is a wolf who tries to steal Cookie Crisp from children, similar to how the Trix Rabbit tries to get Trix. He describes the cereal as "looking like chocolate chip cookies and tasting like them too."

Count Chocula is the character used in advertising for a chocolate-flavored breakfast cereal made by General Mills. He is a vampire who is said to only eat the cereal he is named after. His voice and appearance are inspired by Bela Lugosi's portrayal of Count Dracula.

Chef Wendell was the mascot for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Along with two other chefs, Quello and Bob, he was responsible for making the cereal. However, he was eventually replaced by the Crazy Squares.

The Cinnamojis (formerly known as Crazy Squares) are the mascots for General Mills' Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. They were introduced in 2009 and feature in various commercials and advertisements for the brand. These characters are anthropomorphized pieces of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal that demonstrate the deliciousness of the cereal by eating each other. They do this either by attacking one another or setting traps for other Cinnamojis to fall into so they can be eaten.

Count Chocula and Franken Berry were the first cereals of their kind, debuting in 1971 as the only chocolate- and strawberry-flavored cereals on the market.

"Crunchosaurus Rex" is an anthropomorphic purple dinosaur who, in TV ads, uses stealth and cunning to steal the cereal from someone who is eating it, such as a hungry museum guard working late at night.

Dig 'Em Frog is the mascot for Honey Smacks cereal. In the 1970s, Kellogg's wanted to give Sugar Smacks a more fun and appealing image, so they changed the name to Honey Smacks and created a new character, a hip spokesfrog, designed by James Mackey, a former Executive Art Director at Leo Burnett in Chicago.

Milton, who debuted in the 1970s, was a friendly toaster character who lived in the kitchen. He loved sharing the contents of Kellogg's Pop Tarts with others. Each box contained six Pop Tarts filled with real fruit, a pastry crust, and vitamins and iron.

Quick Draw McGraw is a fictional horse and the main character of The Quick Draw McGraw Show.

Kellogg's Rice Krispies, which made their debut in 1928, are known for the distinctive crackling sound they make when milk is added to the toasted rice cereal. This sound, Snap! Crackle! Pop!, was noticed by marketing executives and the public alike.
